Is it possible to get a single room that doesn't require climbing many stairs? Also, how quiet is the setting?

There are single rooms available, but keep in mind that the building does not have an elevator. The rooms are designed to provide a quiet environment.
Can guests check in after midnight if their flight arrives late? What is the process for late check-ins?
